This contains what is believed to be the first article (very nice) about Maharishi's arrival on U.S. territory, as well as photos of where he first stayed.




Here attached is the article from the Honolulu Star Bulletin.  I think this is the first article documenting the arrival of Maharishi on U.S. soil.  This article documents that Maharishi arrived on 26 December 1958.  The rooms are very modest and it does not look as if there had been any work on this place since 1958.   Each room has just louvered windows and barely room for a bed and a dresser.  The floor Maharishi stayed on has a communal shared bath.  We know that he arrived alone from the airport and went on his own to the YMCA.  The rest is told better by the article.  I have received another article that was done a few days later but it is in worse shape that this one was.  Also there is a photo of what the view in 1958 was from Diamond Head in Hawaii.
